However, it is not recommended for use on an induction cooktop unless a steel plate is placed underneath. The tagine is 10 inches tall with the lid on and the bottom part has a diameter of 12 inches. It is recommended to season the tagine with olive oil, although the glaze on this tagine does not absorb as much oil as a traditional unglazed base.
