This CAP Barbell Flat Weight Bench in the color series is a budget-friendly bench that is perfect for basic exercises. The bench is 42 inches long with a 10 inch wide pad at each end that narrows down to 12 inches wide at the midpoint. The vinyl padded surface is sturdy, and the weight capacity is 500 lbs (as per the manual). However, the bench-to-frame attachments do not seem that strong, so it is not recommended to trust them with more than 300-350 lbs. It is not suggested for a 5-foot-tall person to use it comfortably without a stepstool, and it may not be stable enough for box jumps. Some customers reported receiving the bench with missing parts, and some experienced wobbles and unevenness in the bench's position. Despite these issues, customers seemed happy with the bench's quality for the price.
