Answer: Before attaching the lock to your notebook, you should test the combination by scrambling it, returning to the newly set combination, and checking that the locking button depresses completely. Additionally, this lock is not compatible with certain models of Lenovo, Acer, Dell, and newer Macbooks. -

How do I change the password of the lock?
Answer: To change the password of the lock, use a small flat-head screwdriver to push in the screw on the bottom of the password lock and rotate it clockwise to a vertical position. Then set your new combination and rotate the screw counter-clockwise back to its original position. The new combination should be noted and tested before attaching the lock to your notebook. -
