The Gold Tone Electric Guitar is an 8-string natural mandocello with a scale length of about 25.5 inches. It comes with 70[c], 44[g], 34[d], 20[a] gauge strings and is tuned to C, G, D, A. The instrument is made in China and comes with a hard case. Based on customer reviews, this mandocello has a beautiful sound and is well made. However, some customers experienced issues with the A string breaking while tuning. One customer found a solution by replacing it with a cello string that produced a muted sound. Another customer enjoyed the two pickup system but found the volume and tone knobs to be low tier, giving them an opportunity for replacement.
