However, it is not suitable for a 2001 Jeep Cherokee 4.0, as a liquid gasket maker is recommended for the thermostat housing. Dry gaskets like this one tend to fail in that application. It is recommended to use a specified liquid gray water pump gasket maker, such as the Permatex brand.
