The RE camera is a point and shoot camera that can be controlled from a smartphone app. It does not have stabilization but the picture quality is comparable to the GoPro 6. The battery life is excellent with about 2-3 days on a full charge. It is suitable for YouTube videos but not for Facebook Live as there is no information available regarding it. The camera can be used with both iOS and Android devices. However, one should know that the camera is not waterproof and can only film up to 1 hour of video on an 8GB SIM card. It has received mixed reviews with some happy customers saying they have been using it for years while others have found it unreliable with issues both in terms of functionality and durability. The camera is no longer manufactured by the company and finding firmware updates may be difficult.
