The Mainstays 72'' Combo Floor Lamp with Adjustable Reading Lamp is a great value for the price. The upper lamp can handle a maximum of 100 watts and the lower lamp can handle a maximum of 60 watts, with 40 watts being enough for reading purposes. Assembling the lamp takes around 15 to 30 minutes. While leaning against furniture can make this lamp more stable, it works fine on a carpet. The lamp isn't the most durable or attractive, but it's a great option for a temporary light source that will last a few years.
