The Edwin Jagger Porcelain Shaving Bowl with Handle Ebony-Black is an elegant and well-designed bowl that is suitable for on-soap loading, brush soaking, lathering on top of the soap, and boiling water transport. The bowl holds heat well and has raised linear elevations in the inside bottom to help develop a lather. The handle, although knob type, is sealed so the water cannot get into it. It is a creamy white colour which is not too bright and not ivy, and it is relatively small in size. However, some reviewers found the bowl to be a bit too deep to comfortably lather a loaded brush against the bottom, and there is not too much room to move the brush around without hitting the sides. Some also found it a bit pricey for the size and weight, although others thought it was worth the price. Overall, this shaving bowl is a great addition to a wet shaver's toolkit and is perfect for creating the perfect lather.
