Acymner Suspension Tools Editorial Review
The Interchangeable Fork Strut Macpherson Spring Compressor Kit appears to be an effective tool for those looking to replace or service car springs. Users highlight its robustness and quality Construction, with components that feel weighty and well-machined. This heavy-duty nature provides confidence when compressing strut springs, addressing safety concerns that may arise with lighter, less sturdy alternatives. Several reviewers emphasize the importance of proper setup, recommending that users grease the threads and run the clamp up and down prior to use to avoid binding under load. Caution is also advised against using an impact wrench for compressing or releasing springs, suggesting a manual approach for better control and safety. For enhanced efficiency and safety, some users recommend utilizing two units simultaneously, which can simplify the compression process significantly. Despite needing some additional preparation, the tool’s performance and effectiveness during spring replacement tasks have led many to regard it as good value for the cost. Overall, this spring compressor kit has garnered positive feedback for its durability, design, and effectiveness in car spring replacement, making it a solid choice for DIY mechanics. **
