The Speedball Underglaze 12-Color Sampler Pack is a set of good quality underglazes that offer nice color response when fired at cone 6. The colors stay true and can be easily mixed to create new colors. However, the viscosity of some colors is inConsistent and some are too wet, making them difficult to use. Grog-like color particles also require grinding or ball mill before use. There seem to be quality control issues as some colors were half empty and had broken seals. Some customers reported difficulties with brown and orange, which were chunky and too bright respectively. The set does not come with a clear glaze, which has to be purchased separately.
