Summit Mosquito Dunks by Summit

Summit Mosquito Dunks are designed to eliminate mosquito larvae in standing water, helping to reduce the mosquito population. The dunks are made up of live bacteria and are effective in killing larvae when used properly. One customer shared a creative way to use the dunks by putting a small piece in gallon milk jugs and using the treated water to water plants. However, it is important to note that using the dunks in children's water should be avoided. There was some confusion regarding the packaging, with one customer questioning the discrepancy between the picture showing 20 dunks and the title stating 100 count. However, it was clarified that the product does indeed come with 100 dunks. Another customer inquired about the shelf life of the dunks, and it was confirmed that they do not expire as long as they are stored in a cool, dry place. In terms of effectiveness, opinions varied. Some customers found the dunks to be highly effective in reducing mosquito populations, while others felt that they did not work at all. One customer mentioned a 75% reduction in mosquito problems and even purchased a larger pack. However, there were complaints about the dunks not keeping mosquitoes away and about other animals knocking over the water bowls with the dunks in them. Overall, the Summit Mosquito Dunks have mixed reviews, with some customers finding them to be effective in eliminating mosquito larvae, while others did not see any improvement. It is important to use the dunks properly and in the appropriate situations where standing water is present.
