antwoord: No, never put your gourd in a microwave. It doesn't matter whether it is metal or wood. When drinking mate, you can heat water separately in a microwave-safe container and then pour it into the gourd with mate. Cover the gourd and let it sit for at least five minutes before drinking it. -
